The Fire

On Tuesday morning, December 20, 1960, a fire believed to have started in the furnace room, completely destroyed the 67 year old structure of the Kingston Avenue Methodist Church. Nothing was saved in the church building.
The Pastor, Reverend E.C. Trentham was working in his study in the parsonage next door when someone came in and reported flames coming from the church.
